Introduction

Most of the poker playing community probably99% are out to obtain the same goal and that is to make a steady income playing online poker. The other 1% will tell you they only play the game for entertainment.
The only problem is, that 90% of that 99% manage to obtain the same result. Unfortunately for that 90% of the poker playing population the only thing they manage to do on a regular basis is to lose their hand earned cash.
You can search the Internet until you blue in the face and don't get me wrong all the answers are out there to make a regular income from this game but the majority of people playing ignore the fundamentals.
The main fundamental of this game is to make sure you have an edge on your opponent in as many different ways as possible as well as an edge on the actual game.

I'm not going to tell you how you should play pocket aces under the gun in a cash game, I'm not going to explain why pocket ace should be folded pre flop when your playing a satellite tournament and your 3rd chip leader. I'm going to explain what you need to do to minimise the losses in the game and turn your time spent into chance at making money.

Before ever sitting down at your online poker table you need to make sure that you have taken every necessary step to have a chance at making a profit from playing this game.
Statistics show that only a very small percentage poker players have actually practised what all the top earners in the game have preached and that's why maybe only 5% of online poker players actually make money at playing this wonderful game.

So this is why I'm going to point you in the direction, and if that isn't enough, take you step by step down the road of fundamentals that are essential, that you, as a poker player are going to have to put in place to become successful in obtaining your goal in playing online poker. Which of course should be to make a profit on your investment.

-getting the best bonus for you

-making sure you get the best rake back deal available

-using the proper tools to record your results

-playing under the right conditions

-getting the edge on your players, knowing their history
